Robbinsville Township Police Host Inclusive Breakfast With a Cop Event
Autism New Jersey extends sincere thanks to the Robbinsville Township Police Department for inviting us to their Breakfast With a Cop event, held at Everson’s Karate Institute Robbinsville. A long-standing community fixture, Everson’s Karate Institute welcomed attendees with a powerful message of inclusion and belonging from owner Dusty Everson, who reminded guests, “Here you are a winner no matter what.”
The event brought families and community members together for a morning of connection, including a karate demonstration and presentations from the police department’s drone and K-9 units. We are especially grateful to Lieutenant Thomas Egan, a member of Autism New Jersey’s Law Enforcement Advisory Committee, for his continued leadership in strengthening understanding between law enforcement and the autism community.
“As Autism awareness teaches understanding, autism inclusion creates belonging,” Lt. Egan shared. “Together they help build a safer, more compassionate community for everyone.”
