On April 19, long-time ambassadors, The Livingston Super 6, hosted a special guest presenter to help build autism acceptance.

Tim Rohrer of Tips4Inclusion spoke about his recently published book, “Timmy’s Story: A Story About Autism and Friendship!,” which explores the inclusion of individuals with autism and other social differences.

“Approaching someone with a disability is more than just feeling sorry for them. It’s about giving them compassion, friendship and love. It's upsetting that people with disabilities are not getting the chance to be with non-disabled people who share their interests.”

~Tim

The free event was hosted as a part of the Livingston Super Six’s mission to increase awareness and acceptance. The group has also raised more than $2,000 this year to support Autism New Jersey’s mission to ensure safe and fulfilling lives for individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals who support them.

"We need to listen to people with autism in helping us learn how to be more inclusive Tim was an inspirational speaker, he taught us so much."
